When a Missing Font Changes a Digital Template
Test a presentation template on a device without its display font before promising buyers that the editable file looks like the preview.
A seller can export a flawless PDF while the editable presentation opens with a different typeface on a buyer's machine. For creators reviewing digital product affiliate offers, that distinction matters most when a change in letter width pushes a price, heading or disclosure outside its text box.
Compare the first open with the preview
Use a clean device or profile without the display font installed. Open a fresh copy in the advertised application and record its version. Pick a slide with a long heading and a narrow column. Compare line breaks, clipped text and overlap against the seller's preview, then export that slide from your copy. A missing-font warning alone does not show whether the layout broke.
Describe the buyer's next step
If a fallback works, name the fallback and show the resulting slide. If the original font is needed, check what the seller supplies: an embedded face, a separate download, or instructions to obtain it elsewhere. Do not describe a download link as a license to redistribute a font.
A useful verdict for affiliate publishers is specific: the sample opened and exported without clipping in the tested application, but the heading wrapped onto two lines. That lets buyers decide whether matching the preview is essential to their project.
