How to Audition a Music Loop Before Promoting the Download
Creators reviewing digital music packs can test the repeat point, distinguish preview defects from file defects and document the exact version heard.
A polished ten-second preview can hide the one instant that matters to a video editor buying a music loop: the jump from the last beat back to the first. Test that transition on the distributed file before recommending a digital music pack.
Build a repeat without masking the join
Import the sample into an empty timeline at its stated tempo. Disable automatic crossfades and time stretching, and place three copies end to end. Listen first with headphones, then through the speaker your audience uses for short videos. A sharp tick suggests an abrupt waveform change. A quiet extra beat points to a gap or a reverb tail. Zoom in at the boundary to distinguish them.
If the pack includes both a loop and a version with a natural ending, identify the filenames in your notes. Dropping the ending version into the repeat test can produce a misleading verdict. If only a streamed preview is available, describe the preview and leave the downloadable version ungraded.
Make the review reproducible
Give the tempo, file format and playback settings alongside the verdict. Check the seller's license before embedding an audio excerpt. A publisher can explain a clean join in text or show a timeline when the right to redistribute a sample is unclear.
